Introduction

THE INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT CONSULTANTS (SINGAPORE) is an independent non-profit professional organization. Our prime objective is to promote the skills and knowledge of management consultancy, and the adoption of the highest standards of conduct by members of the management consulting profession.

IMC(S) is a full member of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI). Through our membership with ICMCI, Certified Management Consultants will have reciprocal recognition in U.S.A., U.K., and 28 other member countries worldwide. About IMC Consulting Group

IMC Consulting Group (ICG) is a fully owned subsidiary of the Institute of Management Consultants (S). It was formed to provide consulting services and training programmes, utilising the combined resources of 3 levels of IMC's memberships:

  • Fellow Certified Management Consultants
  • Certified Management Consultants
  • Management Consultants

Formation of IMC(S)

The registration of the Institute of Management Consultants (Singapore) with the Registrar of Societies was gazetted on 9 October 1992. It replaced the Association of Management Consultants (AMC) formed in 1986, the members of which comprised of the major consultancies, including the consulting arms of all the big accounting firms.

Membership

IMC has several classes of membership such as Honorary Fellows, Fellows, Certified members, Ordinary members, Associate members and Student members.
