ICMCI Asia-Pacific Meeting in Chongqing China - 24 June 2009

IMC Vice President Philip Kee led a delegation of 4 other IMC members to participate in the ICMCI Asia-Pacific Meeting and the 6th China Management Consulting Summit on 24-25 June 2009 at Chongqing China . The Singapore delegation is the biggest overseas delegation to participate in the meetings. The ICMCI Asia-Pacific Meeting was facilitated by IMC Singapore's Council Member – Mr Liew Shin Liat, who is also the Vice Chairman of ICMCI. About 80 participants attended the meetings, with presentations made by the overseas member Institutes including Singapore, Hong Kong, India and Chinese Taipei. Proposals such as creating an International CMC website and revamping the ICMCI Secretariat were put forward by the European IMC Institutes and discussed. The overseas delegations were invited to witness the 6th China Management Consulting Summit and also their award presentations and celebrations. All participants were treated to the famous Chongqing hotpot on the evening of 24 June and a traditional Chinese thanksgiving dinner was hosted by the Organisers on 25 June.

David Low, one of the Singapore delegates said about the trip “I must say this experience of interacting with such a large group of professionals from various Chinese provinces as well as interacting with fellow participants from Asia and Europe was a special experience money alone cannot buy, had we not made the time and effort to be there.
